Kim & Nathan's Wedding

I had the distinct pleasure to photograph Kim and Nathan's wedding last weekend. Kim really knows how to bring everything together- the day ran like clockwork with everything running ahead of schedule. It was great to see them let loose after the ceremony and really enjoy their family and friends. Not even a mad dash through the rain across the Marquette campus could dampen their spirits. Thanks for trusting me with your wedding day.

Trying Something New

I went outside with Cal the other night to play with a new lens and some other new toys to try something new. Thought I would try some new (for me anyway) processing techniques on it as well.

So here is my very stoic (I don't know where he gets it from) son with a twist.

Have a great weekend.

Recent Work- Miss Sophia at the Park | Wisconsin Child Photographer

Little Miss Sophia is all grown up. It seems like yesterday that I was propping her up with pillows so I could take her picture. And now I have a hard time keeping up as I chase her around the park. Thanks to Meggan and Joe for hiring me to take her pictures. I'm looking forward to some newborn shots with Sophia's little sister/brother this fall!

A Couple's Session

With names like Juston and Emalee, these two were clearly meant for each other. And after ten years of marriage and two kids, they are still acting like newlyweds.

Trolling the Archives- #1

Every so often as I am searching out a particular image in the archives, I stumble across something that didn't catch my eye during the first go-through. I tend to be overly critical of my work and pass over 95% of it without much consideration. This is an example of one of those shots from the "white session" with the kids last summer. It's not technically perfect but I like the feel of it. It catches Calvin in a not-often-seen purely natural pose. Not overly happy to be in front of the camera again, but not really completely uninterested either.
